Artist's Comments

hiked a bit above our local ski resort. no one knows all this is up there, possibly the most beautiful place on earth (ok, maybe not).

EDIT: i gave it a bit of a sepia effect, i think it has more emotion and defiantly fits in the surreal section better now

this piece just won 1st place in the Grand Junction Free Press outdoor adventure photo contest. it was sold in a silent auction and all the money will be donated to a nature fund of the buyers choice.

And Cloister spoke, "Low, I shall lead you to Fushal, and there we shall open a temple of food,
where-in shall be sausages and savory donuts, a whole manor of magical things, yay, even individual sashays of mustard.”

Serene and sublime. It's always nice to see fresh snow that's free of human footprints. You can obviously take that as a metaphor for our ill effect on the world, in general; hence your title being an apt one.
